mkelley33 Because it brings together hip-hop, punk rock, alternative, electronic, and probably a few other genres I missed into a truly new genre called crime wave. It’s also hard to pick just one track as a favorite. Suicide by Pigs, Abcessed, Brutiful, Prison Camp and the remainder of the album really speak to me, so it just depends on the day for me. Favorite track: Fast Ones (feat. The DOC).

D. Matthew Stewart This album is amazing. Take a look at my profile and it’s all hip hop. I rarely venture away from that genre. But I love truly unique albums and this absolutely is one. There aren’t many. And most of the unique albums are very weird. This is a touch weird too, but in the best possible way. The composition of each track is unpredictable on the first listen. And on replays I still get thrown a bit when the track seems to nearly change genres or all of the sudden have a different influence. Favorite track: Prison Camp.

Sometimes you come across an artist that is compelled to do what they do. I appreciate the musicality and the arrangement and the artistry of the songs. He sings and plays like his life depends on it. I appreciate the humanity of the lyrics… Like reading Tortilla Flats, or watching Nobody’s Fool. Ceschi is a bright star.
